Pete drove in from Tuscon, Arizona to visit Mer. We all had a wonderful time getting to know him.














Al , Pete's cousin, and his wife Cynthia live here in Frisco. Cynthia helped Mer find a job at Watson Wyatt Worldwide! She started last Monday. She can now say that she works in downtown "Dallas"!!

Meredith came up to my classroom and helped the kids create this pumpkin for the Capitol One contest for Ashley Elem. on Sunday. It started out as a longhorn, but we had no brown paint! Not sure if this is an actual breed, but it sure is cute!

OU/UT Weekend!

It's football time baby!!!














The Rogers'/Bass'/Kelley's clan came to Dallas for the Red River Shootout. It has been a couple of years since we had one of these weekends. Guy, Mark, Ashley, and her boyfriend Greg all went to the game, while pretty much everyone else went shopping. I took Grandma to Plano to visit one of her dear friends. Grandma celebrated her 83rd birthday with all of us. (Meredith is actually typing all of this and Marilyn is yelling at her for typing too much because people will expect her to keep it up)














After a sad loss to the Longhorns (Meredith was rooting for UT), we all met up for a farewell brunch at the Grand Lux Cafe (owned by the Cheesecake Factory). All in all it was a fantastic weekend!

How long has it been since I posted? Life has been hectic!!! School keeps me so very busy. I do have a few photos to share, but I am on Mer's computer, not mine.

Meet the Teacher

Friday was "Meet the Teacher" so I took a few photos of my classroom. Notice the burgandy /black plaid shirt. That is our Monday shirt which we wear with black slacks, skirt or capris. It has the Ashley logo.

July 22nd Guy and I flew to Bozeman, Montana and had a wonderful visit with Jennifer, Steve and our two precious grandchildren, Parker and Peyton in Belgrade. Between swim classes, soccer, fishing, and shopping, we managed to eat pretty often. Marilyn also found out that taking a nap at the same time as Peyton was quite relaxing!

I had a birthday dinner with Steve, Sharon, Lauren, Garth, Kate, Meredith and Guy on Saturday. Mer made a beautiful ice cream cake for dessert!

There's Something Fishy Going On!

Steve took Parker and Guy fly fishing while we were in Montana. Daisy was jumping in the water every time they stopped and retrieved rocks for them! Parker got his first big boy fly fishing rod.
